for one charm pack, how much twill tape will be needed?

  • Mytoyfox2

I am making this in a modern print charm pack that is not Christmas with intention that it be used for the Grandkids’ birthdays.

Jenny:  I am addicted to your tutorials.  Your “this is not rocket science” demonstrations and “fun” attitude really inspires my confidence.  I am so thankful that I have discovered the Missouri Quilt Company and these tutorials.

Hi, I love a hot and steamy iron!  Maker sure you test is on an area that doesn’t matter as all irons are different!Good luck!

You will need five to six yards of twill tape.

I loved your Jacob’s ladder design. Thanks for sharing I am going to try and make – I’m a beginner and work basic materials, scissors, and plain rulers, we do not get the cutter, the cutting board or the square ruler here where I live. But I will make this design and share it with you once I have done so. Thank you once again for sharing it.

Jenny I love this and they are so in fashion here in Ireland at the moment, however I do have a question if I needed the garland to be colourful on both sides what do you suggest, I guess my daughters room is so small she would see the back of it as she  moves  around.Anna

I would just heat and bond both sides and iron them together and you will have color on both sides.
      Have a great day!

I love all of your tutorials.  You make it so much easier to understand.  I am a beginner quilter and have learned so much from you.  Thanks so much.  I wish you were closer.

I just made one today with a Halloween charm pack and black twill.  It came out perfect and I can’t wait to hang it up in October.  Finally got a jump start on the season.  I’m going to do one for Xmas too!  Thanks for a fast, fun, easy project!!

    • Sarah

Ooh! I bet it’s awesome!!  Sounds so cute!

  • Azberg77

Thank you so much for the tutorials.  Jenny has a super great attitude.  I was wondering if you had any ideas for a quilt using the small triangle???  Thanks

    • Sarah

We are working on a pattern right now!!  Stay tuned! 🙂

  • Kathy

What an awesome, quick project! Jenny, you are amazing. Thank-you so much.

  • I bought the Darlene Zimmerman tritool (triangle) to use as the wedge template but it doesn’t seem to be the right shape. What did you use as the template?

I too am addicted to the tutorials. I made this garland using a Catalina layer cake for fourth of July. I fused/double-sided the fabric because I planned on hanging it on a dead tree in front of house (I keep it alive by decorating it for celebrations/holidays). But the garland is so pretty, I am using it along the roofline. I realize this is an expensive way to go, but, it’s fabulous! I will be giving charm pack garlands (using Shades charm pack colors for the back side), as hostess gifts from now on. For any celebration, holiday or barbeque. I have enough charm packs from all the daily deals I can’t resist! Thanks again MSQC!!

I look forward to my email from MSQ everyday and seeing what you have selected as the deal of the day, and recommendations for possible quilt designs to complement the fabric deal. Your videos have taught me how to look at designs and see how to put them together. I thank you for sharing with us all the tricks of the trade.
