How can I order a kit of spiderweb kit?  J

  • Gramtimestwo

I have ordered the spiderweb kit and I am working on it now…I used the 5 by 5 precut squares and i choose to use only 15 colors it really is looking great i will share when I am finished…also I find it alot easier to remove the papers before you start sewing the squares together…if something doesnt line up good you can give it a little pull to help there is no stretching if the papers are on

    • Gramtimestwo

would also like to know when the wackyweb papers with b back in stock

      • Sarah

They should be back in stock  in a few weeks.  We weren’t as prepared as we thought, as far as sales!  They sure went fast!!  Have a great week.  Can’t wait to see your finished quilt!!

        • Lisa

thankyou Sarah Ill keep my eyes peeled

  • Jan Zedrick

I wasn’t able to get to the information about the tools needed and the pattern.

  • C Altieri1

my quilt has a square of burgundy,a row of white with burgundy flower and green and a green square, i was wondering if you could advice what colour thread i will need to quilt the project.
    thank you

    • Sarah

I would have to see it to be sure, but I  imagine a nice neutral would be best.  I hope this helps!!  Good luck, I am sure it will be beautiful!

  • Goonberrie

Jenni, I love the Spider Web block quilt-but- it is kind of similiar to a ‘flippy quilt.’ If a person wanted to use light batting and your template to draw the lines on one side, and put triangles of fabric on the back, as you would sew your scrappy strips, you would quilt the backing fabric, and NO tearing off the paper!(Unfortunately, sales for the paper triangles would be reduced what do you think?

I looked for that link on the item’s page that is supposed to say “sign up to get notified when this product is back in stock”.  Did not see the link anywhere.  What am I missing???   Help.

        • Susanne101

I found the link.  It is under the ” Be the first to review this product”,  up near the top.  Good to know.  I would put that line in bold print.  Thanks anyway.  And thanks for making these products.

So disappointed that I was not able to get supplies at this time to make this block.  You are temporarily out of stock.  I hope they come in soon.  I put it on my wishlist.  Will I get an email or something that will let me know when they are in as well as the other items you were out of.  Bet tutorial made stuff fly off the shelves.

When I sewed the 4 triangles together my block measured 11 3/4 inches finished. But remember every presser foot is different. So just make sure your blocks match up. I love this quilt too! It is such a great way to use scraps! Have fun!!

Love your tutorials!!!!!!!!!  I get new ideas for futue quilts keeps me busy–thank again.

    • Sarah

Thank you!! SO glad you like them!

  • Bluewaters41

I just completed the spiderweb quilt top, it took me 2 charm packs and turned out great.
Now I’m wondering if you recommend a border and what size. I used the Urban Cowgirl
charm pack and it was so cute.

    • Natalie

I would add a small border the same color as your centers, then a larger outer border in your favorite print. I usually do a 2.5″ inner border and a 5″ outer border. I hope this helps!

      • Bluewaters41

        Thank you for you help!

  • Konabeagle

    Great instructions . Thanks

  • Tdorrance

I love this quilt.  I ordered the kit and cut up a Grand Finale layer cake.  It’s looking great.  Love working with the papers.  I was wondering how many blocks will it make from one layer cake.  I have another and trying to decide if I want to cut that one up as well.  Your tutorials are great.  I want to make so many quilts I have seen Jenny do.  Being a new quilter I have tried things I didn’t think was possible thanks to Jenny’s help.  She makes it look so easy and explains things great.  Keep up the great work!

    • Natalie

Your quilt sounds beautiful! I am not sure exactly how many blocks you will get from a layer cake, but I think that a layer cake should make a lap size quilt.

      • Tdorrance

Thanks Natalie.  I’ll probably end up cutting up the other layer cake!  I really am enjoying this pattern.  I’ve actually started another spider web quilt.  Do you have any other patterns that you use the template with?  Thanks for all you do.  You guys are the best!

        • Natalie

No problem! I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the spider web quilt process! I don’t have any other pattern ideas yet, but I am working on it! Thanks!

I can’t get enough of this quilt.  I think of all I’ve watched and tried this is my favorite.  I’m making an x’s and o’s quilt for my neice as a bridal gift.  I’m using cattails & clover layer cakes.  When I cut off the corners they were too big to just disgard, so now I’m using the leftovers to make this quilt.  I have two separate spider web quilts going now.  I really am enjoying this pattern.  Can’t wait to see what you come up with next  Jenny.  Love your videos!

Love an easy way to “scrap bust” my stash…Jenny, you make it so much fun!  Can hardly wait to get a spider web kit and get busier than ever.  Silver Fox Grandma

    Hi
Love the design :) but since I do not get the paper here, I would like to know the size of the triangle :)
Then I can make the triangle with my simple rulers.

    • Natalie

No problem, to make your own triangles, take a 12 inch square and cut it from corner to corner, diagonally into 4 triangles. Best of luck to you!

  • Gillingsmkg

I just ordered the Wacky Web Kit! I cannot wait to get started. I am a beginner so I think this will be a great project to start with.

  • Mikie

I ordered the wacky web set but was told they are still on backorder.  how long will it be before they are back in stock…

    • Natalie

      Hi Mikie,
We don’t have an expected date of delivery just yet. It will most likely be a few months though.

  • Tu_luna13

I love this tutorials, spider web is awesome! I wonder how  many layer cakes do I need to make a queen size? thank you.

    • Natalie

You should be able to make a queen using two layer cakes.

  • Tiptonangeltrain

What type of paper is used for the wacky web quilt so I can make my own paper triangles.

    • Natalie

We use a special type of wax paper, but if I were to make my own I would use whatever type of paper I had available to me. You could even use a muslin foundation if you prefer. I have used newsprint, freezer paper, parchment paper, or wax paper. They will all work. Just cut your squares 13 1/8th inches square, then cut them diagonally into four triangles. I hope this helps!

  • Cathy

It looks like a lot of the points of the white background stars get lost when you use that template. I wonder if you should overlap the strips closer in to prevent that from happening? I was interested in buying the template until I noticed that. So I will instead make my own. I just think a spider web quilt looks better with sharp pointy stars. *-*

  • M-J

Hi! Just wondering if the kit and extra papers are still available?

  • Martie

how many of the non-solid charm packs would I need to make a full size quilt top (53″x75:”)

    • JenM

If you’re not using up scraps and wanted to use charms as shown cut up here, estimate 2 5″ squares worth on each template. When putting 4 templates together, you get 11.5″ finished square. To roughly get measurement you described, 5 squares by 6 (57.5″ x 69″) you would need 240 5″ squares (6 charm packs).

  • Nettie Crain

I have purchased the wacky web template and now I need the wacky web papers. I have tried for several weeks to purchase them, but it says not available. When will they be in stock? I have called and left several messages, also have sent e-mails to your customer service dept. but no one has bothered to reply to any of my inquiries.

Please help me>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I want to make the periwinkle quilt as shown in the tutorial.

    • JenM

Hi Nettie…sorry you’ve had trouble reaching us. We are waiting for a new shipment in the next few weeks. Thank you for your patience.

  • martie2000

Have the fabric packs and the spider web template but the wacky web paper is still out of stock. Do you know when the wacky web paper will be in stock?

  • martie2000
