Video Transcript

This is a fun beginner block! To make the Duck Tracks quilt block you'll need:

- 8 squares, 3.5" x 3.5" in White
- 2 strips, 3.5" x 6.5" in Color A
- 2 strips, 3.5" x 6.5" in Color B
- 2 squares, 4" x 4" in Color C
- 2 squares, 4" x 4" in White

Sew the 4" x 4" squares in White and Color C together to create 4 half square triangle units. Be sure to trim them to 3.5" x 3.5" square before moving on to the next step.

Mark the diagonals on your four 3.5" x 3.5" white squares. Attach one square to one end of each of your four strips on the diagonal line (two in Color A, two in Color B). Trim away the excess fabric, and press the corner open (Creates one white triangle portion per strip).

Assemble your block: 1 white square + 1 half square triangle + 1 longer strip quadrant (creates a star when put together!).

Arrange the quadrants into a four patch block, so the colored strips appear in opposite corners, taking care to match seams accurately.
