[Music] Hi everybody. It's Jenny and I am here with Sue Dailyaly. We've had her in the studio this week and she is teaching us how to English paper piece. And so right now we're going to show you a closeup of how to do the stitch so it doesn't show on the other side. So Sue, tell us all about this. Okay, so it's dependent on your needle. So you need a nice fine needle and nice fine thread. Sue has great needles too and they have big eyes. so that we can actually see the thread though. Yeah, you can. So, we're just going to take a come into the side here and we're going to pick up two threads of fabric either side. So, two threads of pink, two threads of red and we're going to come in and take those and we're going to sew straight across. Do you always come from back to the front? I always sew from back to front, but I do know some people sew this way, but I always sew this way. I think it's more natural to sew that way, but it's not a problem. Well, we are learning from the master, so we will we will do it. We'll do it the way the way you do it. So, it's just back to front. And we do I do my stitches about a sixeenth of an inch apart. Okay. Okay. And just keep it's like just goes over and over and over. Perfect. Perfect. And so the back to front and just picking up those few threads is what's going to make the the stitch not show. Yeah. It's important to have a fine needle though. If you have a big thick needle, you'll have big stitches showing through on the right side. So this way you have no no stitches showing on the right side of your work. Perfect. So, be sure and catch that tutorial and we'll see you later. Bye. [Music]
