I love my quilting friends! My name is Leah day and we are learning Flame Fist today. I am quilting this on my home sewing machine on the Evolution hoop frame. I have it setup for hooping and quilting on my awesome little Daisy Loops panel.

This design is just flowing so easily through this area. This is such a great design to use. So here's how it works. It's basically a spiral design with repeated rows of bouncy echoes.

So I'm going to swirl into spiral and you can make this as big or as small as you want. Then as I come out I'm going to basically just kind of bounce. I'm not gonna hit the line before it. I'm just gonna bounce close to it and then I'm gonna bounce close up to the other line the other side of the design and I'm just going to keep swinging around and bouncing as long as I want.

Then I'll swirl into another little Flame Fist. We're thinking of this like a flame but surrounded with these echoes makes it look kind of like a balled up fist. I kind of like this design. I like how it's flowing and I like how easy it is to quilt on my quilt.

So as you can see this works really well stitched on a large scale. So this is
really what I would consider to be a bed quilting scale but you could also quilt this on a much smaller scale. Here's a picture of how I quilted it on my home sewing machine on a micro scale.

So this is a design that can work great for all over quilting. You can see I'm working it pretty easily here into a row. So there's lots and lots of things that you can do with it.

So I hope that you will give Flame Fist a try on your quilts and send me a picture if you decide to use it on a pretty springtime quilt too. If you'd like to check out my quilting setup and this Evolution hoop frame, come
