* Try adding registration marks so you can see what your machine does as you're stitching! These will be hidden in the seam allowance.
* Sometimes the feed dogs will pull the bottom fabric along a little faster than the top layer - this is what creates the differences when sewing!
* A walking foot can help you keep your layers feeding equally through the machine. (On her Bernina, Laura has a dual feed - you may be able to use that!)
* You can use your hands to aid in the process, lifting the strip up to guide and ease that fabric through. (Laura shows an example in the video.)
* You can also pin your strips together at the center as you're sewing to keep things neat and tidy, adding a bit of a curve in your hands like in the previous tip.
* Alternate directions as you sew the strips together!
