The Shaded Star quilt block is a traditional quilt block design that is named for its unique shading effect, which creates visual interest. Each block is a 9 patch, made up of squares, half square triangles and star points. The background fabrics and the star fabrics are different in each half of the block to create a light triangle and a dark triangle, adding dimension. Arrange your blocks all in one direction, or play with layouts to create secondary designs - have fun!
