What makes this block a little lopsided? Beth uses 1.5" strips in her light colors, and 2" strips in her dark colors. She was curious to see what it would look like, and we think it looks great!
Beth starts with a center square that is 2" x 2" in red fabric. Then she chooses from her scrap fabrics and builds her log cabin square from the center out. She uses 1.5" strips on the light side of the block, and 2" strips on the dark side of the block. She uses 1/4" seam allowance.
Finally she trims the block down to 7" square.
