Easy All Over Quilting Design - Dew Drops and Decorative Stitches!

Hello my quilting friends! My name is Leah Day, and this is the free motion quilting tutorial for Dewdrops.

So this is stitched by stitching a wiggly line and kind of kind of curving into a spiral shape. That's what I'm doing now. And then kind of poking around and turning that into a teardrop. Now go inside and stitch a little internal echo and then travel, stitch down the line and then swirl off with another cute spiral shape.

So here I am, swinging in that spiral, hooking into a teardrop, and then stitching that internal echo. There we go. Really, really pretty design.

And as you can see, this works really well around our decorative stitch is
I stitch some decorative stitches to some lines and that created the outline for my squares. And then now I'm filling in those areas with different free motion quilting designs.

And this is a design that doesn't need a ditch or an edge around it. You can just wiggle around with these dewdrop shapes and you can get close to that decorative stitch edge so you don't have to travel, stitch along it.
And so this makes a great design to just do as an all over quilting feel or to stitch right up to those decorative stitches.

It's just a great all around design to know and have under your belt.
