Video Transcript
1. First you will measure your bench. You'll need length and depth (front to back).
2. Cut your fabric (front and back, bench straps, zipper facing). Also trim your zipper and velcro to size.
3. Start with the straps. Follow the instructions in the video for sewing, pressing and finishing.
4. Prepare the pillow. Mark the edge of the facing for the zipper, then cut out the indent. Follow the instructions to attach facing to the pillow, and trim the indent fabric. Next add the zipper. Follow the instructions in the video to sew the zipper in place.
5. Assemble the pillow. Place both pillow pieces right sides together, positioning the pairs of straps using a ruler. Baste the straps then sew the pillow together. Check that the zipper is open halfway before finishing the last seam so you can turn the pillow right sides together. Finally, sew the box corners. Attach velcro strips to the ends of the strips. Fill your pillow with desired filling - batting, or foam.
