Teresa has a few tips and tricks for making this project:
1. Mark your fabric before you cut! When you're ready use a sharp scissors or an Olfa craft knife to cut your Luxe Cuddle with minimal mess.
2. Remember to double pin your fabric so it hold steady while you sew. This project in particular is sewn on the bias, so be very careful not to stretch your fabric.
3. Always start with a fresh needle! You'll want a Schmetz 90/14 Stretch Needle. Use a straight stitch and lengthen it to 3 or 3.5.
4. Use a walking foot if you have one!
5. Use a Stiletto to help you guide the fabric through the machine, and also to fluff up the nap around seams after they are sewn.
6. You could personalize your finished tree skirt with embroidery!
