With QAYG, you can quilt and piece your quilt simultaneously, which can save time and simplify the process. QAYG also allows you to easily quilt larger quilts on your home sewing machine without the need for a long-arm machine.
Courtenay simplifies this QAYG project by using June Tailor's pre-printed batting. This batting is not only cut to the right size, but is pre-printed with sewing lines and numbered sections, making it east to add your choice of fabrics.
Once the quilting is complete, Courtenay then adds a festive binding and straps to her project and her casserole carrier is ready to be used or gifted for the holidays!
QAYG is a versatile technique that can be adapted to a variety of different quilting projects, from simple patchwork quilts to more complex designs. It can also be a great way to use up scraps of fabric and batting, and experiment with different quilting styles and techniques.
