1. You'll need to print out the pattern twice because there are two pattern pieces on the same sheet. Once you assemble them it's time to cut!
2. Choose two fat quarters to begin and press them to get rid of any fold lines. Then place your template (half or whole) and trace around the edges.
3. Use your lines as a cutting line or as a stitching line!
4. Remember to leave an 8" opening so you can turn the pillow right side out and add filling.
5. Other options: you could use ribbon to add a handle (12" recommended). You could also add a bit of elastic across the horizontal center of the pillow (approx. 17")
6. Laura recommends sewing the pillow together before trimming excess fabric so it's easier to sew. Then she pinks her edges for the seam allowance and then clips the curves.
7. Turn it right side out and fill it with Polyfil. Remember to fill the pillow so it's still soft and squishy and not too firm. Laura weighed hers and it's about 4 ounces.
8. Finally sew your opening closed and it's ready to be gifted!
