This is a wonderfully fun and easy project to welcome spring.

Misty starts by cutting her Fat Quarters into 5" strips. She lays her template in the corner (line up with both sides of the fabric) and cuts the curve with her rotary cutter. For each petal, you'll need 4 curves in each color fabric. Rotate your fabric back and forth as necessary so you're cutting safely.

Press your curves, and then add a little crease at the top of your curve by folding it in half.

Now let's get the background ready. Open up your background fabric and cut 4.5" background strips. Now you'll use the 4.5" line on the template and line it up so you can cut the outer portion of the curve. Press your corner pieces in half so you can match them to the curves.

Line up your outer piece with your inner piece, right sides together, pinning in the middle. Gently ease that curve in and sew 1/4" seam, moving slowly to sew accurately. Use more pins if you need them, and a stiletto near the end! Press it open, rolling the seam back. You'll repeat the process for each of the other three petals.

You'll end up with 10 tulips for this table runner. In between, Misty used 4.5" squares as sashing. For the backing, Misty pieced together some of the leftovers from the fat quarters. She did the same with her binding!
