[Music] hi everybody I'm Natalie with Missouri Star Quilt Company and today I have a really fun embroidery project for you I've got Jenny here with me because a mom to you yes my mom my mom Jenny I love this project it's super fun so we decided that we needed something fun to take with us in the car or on the plane anywhere we go this summer that might be kind of a fun project like such a great summertime project so we have this cute little United States map with all the states lined out and it just comes blank so you can put whatever you want on it I think it's so fun and being a being a traveler I love this idea I just think this is great it's super cool so what I've done on mine is I added a little heart to all the cities where people that I love live in different states and then I'm just filling it in with other fun stuff I've put some fabric on a couple of them a Georgia PE Beach some mountains in Colorado some of them I'm just putting yep cuz Louisiana is known for its that's right Jazz um so it it comes just plain it's all surged and they just they just come like this plain and then you get to sit and sew and I love this chain stitch do you have a video on is that cute I do so I have videos that show all the fun stitches um and so so this one Cherry Cherry's working on it she went ahead and outlined the entire thing in black and she's add adding pretty flowers little blue bonnets for Texas and a Missouri Star on Missouri of course um and then we've got just just some other fun ideas all the different things you know so Rachel's been working on this one she's got all these beautiful sunshines in all the states which I think is really cute it's just a cute idea and it's just cohesive enough that it just all works yep and then this one Rachel also did cuz she's um she's just a busy little bee a little over a but look at how beautiful these variegated threads look on all the states I think it's so pretty I think it would be fun to fill some of the states with French knots or even a chain stitch as a filler a little tiny stage okay that's a great idea or Hawaii Hawaii could be all French knots oh why it could be all that's fun and then another thing is we have these little tiny icons that come on our pre pre-printed um stick kit yeah so I thought it would be cute to put this little bee on Utah because it's the the state Des so I'm just going to stick that little guy on there and then Stitch through him and rinse him away now how hard would it be to to trace something through this so I've traced it on the um my light board and it's great super easy super great and this canvas is easy to stitch through I've hooped it and I've not hooped it in different places and it works well with both so if you just found a little B you know on a page find something online and print it out you could trace it I freehand wrote the word Birds just you know made them fit there's so many ideas it's really fun cuz everyone is going to be unique to you yeah I also have some little dashed lines like if I was going to take a road trip it would go from this little heart to that little heart and I'd visit all the people that I love and the little hearts here are for places where we know people right uh people that I love live there so I love that just fun things really cute things this is such a great idea look how cute these are so check out the Stitch videos to learn whatever stitches you might want to use on your us panel and have fun with it take it with you and Stitch when you have time maybe when you're watching a soccer game or baseball a swim meet yeah anything you can stitch anything if you're not working for the team so I I also have a lot of thread left over for my ingred kit and so it's a great way to use up that thread plus I really think you could probably take some of those little flowers from the ingred kit oh yeah and put in different states yep and then the the beginner kit has little little bitty things that you can do yes yes so this little bee that I used came off of this sheet and I think these little flowers or even this one would look so cute just like probably fit yeah or maybe even this or it could fit in Florida or Montana or any South Dakota yep yeah really fun so so if you have the beginner kit or the ing's kit you already have a lot of ideas oh yeah for sure lots of fun things and it's not too hard to make like a little pine tree up here and things like that so cute I just love it so the yeah the options are endless and you know we can't wait to see what you guys do right I'm super excited to see them hopefully you'll tag us in your projects cuz it's going to be fun this is going to be fun all summer it really is and I'll I'll post some pictures as mine gets further along because I've got lots of stuff to do still yep and I haven't even got mine yet so I'm super excited I can't wait to see what you do cuz you I think said that you were going to add more Fabric in different places I love the idea of the fabric in the in the things I well I love that you fussy cut like a little shark right here cuz it's on the coast South Carolina you know there's just so many things you could do I think it'd be really fun to see a whole one in fabric but I also there's some as you look at all of these there's so many things like I love cherries Blue Bonnets down here yes you know I love the little bee I love the printing of the names of the states I think that is really cute yeah just don't make mistake on that because I was only in one place I also think that it would be really fun to go ahead and add some kind of a border and make it into a wall hanging when I'm finished yeah the other thing that would be fun is to staple it like a canvas and make it into like a pin board that could be cool yeah you could put it right over a canvas uh well it is canvas but like on a frame a FR yeah that'd be really cute is that fun really cute lots of ideas so yeah so I hope you enjoyed this video that you're inspired to get creative and have fun and take a fun project with you this summer y from the Missouri Star Quilt Company thank you so much for joining me for
